The annual ‘Big Inishowen Spring Clean-up’ takes place on Saturday, April 9th

Inishowen Big Clean Up

This event has been a major success over the last few years due to the input and volunteerism of the local community.

It is hoped that 2016 will be even more successful and people across the peninsula are being urged to ‘team up to clean up.’

By volunteering for the Inishowen National Spring Clean-up campaign, you are actively helping to make and keep the local environment a cleaner and more enjoyable place to work and live in. Everyone is urged to gather their friends, neighbours, tidy towns groups, residents associations, sporting associations, youth clubs and Local businesses and organise a local clean-up blitz in Inishowen.

If you would like to get involved, contact any of your local County Councillors or ring Martin Gouff Donegal County Council, Carndonagh Civic Centre 074 9373709 for information on how to get your free bags, gloves, pickers and your litter bags picked up by Donegal County Council on the cleanup day.

Please note, there are strictly no children under the age of 16-years-old allowed due to health and safety and traffic concerns. Everyone us also urged to wear a hi-viz vest. The clean-up will take place from 10am until 12 noon.
